Our Story

After over 10 years of working within medium to large sized firms, I started to see a trend of slow turn around times, high employee turnover, and generally dissatisfied clients. After months of discussions, we realized that we could do better, putting more focus on client satisfaction and less on profitability. This led us to start up Shaun Williams CPA PC Inc. in early 2021.

 

At Shaun Williams CPA PC Inc. we focus on quick, efficient turn around and response times. We understand our clients are busy and need quick service and reliability. We run a small firm that can focus more on you and your needs without the overhead and corporate hierarchy.

Meet The Team

Shaun Williams

Growing up on a small farm in Harvey, New Brunswick, I’m no stranger to hard work. After completing my business degree at UNB Fredericton in 2013, I started the Chartered Accountant program at the Atlantic School of Chartered Accountancy, completing my CA designation in 2015. After 4 years working for large firms in the Fredericton area, I moved to a medium-sized firm for 6 years before branching out on my own to where I am today.

 

When I'm not at my desk, you can find me on the farm or on the court. I have a small hobby farm with a herd of cows and chickens. Haying, repairing fences, and doing barn chores are some of the ways I like to get outside and take a break from screen time. I also enjoy playing sports like basketball, volleyball, and ultimate frisbee during spare time. Running my own business has given me the freedom to pursue my multiple passions while also focusing on my busy young family. With one boy and two young girls, it's never a dull moment.

My background is a little different than the average bookkeeper's. After 7 years of education at UNB Fredericton, I graduated in 2017 with a double major in Archaeology and Earth Sciences. During my schooling, and after I graduated, I worked in both the government and private industry doing extensive archaeological work for nearly a decade before going on maternity leave in 2021. During this time at home, the days began to drag by and I wanted to get work done. That's when Shaun and I came up with the idea of me beginning advanced bookkeeping courses so that I can join him from home working at his new business- Shaun Williams CPA PC Inc.. From then on I've developed a love for this new endeavor, as it requires a lot of organization, tedious data entry, and close attention to detail, which I was no stranger to in the field of archaeology. I'm thrilled to be working alongside my husband who was taught me so much in such a short time, and took me under his wing with this family business.

When I'm not at my computer, you can find me trekking around our farm and surrounding property with a child or two in tow taking photos of the beautiful animals and scenery on our slice of heaven here in Harvey. You may have noticed a few examples on this site! Having the freedom of working from home while also getting to have daily adventures with family has created the perfect work-life balance I could have only dreamt of. I believe this is what distinguishes our company from most. We keep things small and focused- traits that translate well when working closely with our clients.
